He Said, She Said

This modern painting is all about creating a soft but rich mood to a space. It evokes romance, warmth and femininity. The movement of the thicker paint strokes feel exciting and draw you in to see the layers of colour hiding underneath, there is a beautiful depth to the painting with lots to look at and see over time. It is a beautiful blend of warm tones that will create a rich but soothing feel.

Feels Like Home

This native floral is all about the rich hues found in our Australian bushland. Rich browns and rusts depict the soil and the muted earthy greens add the softness to the foliage. The sweet delicate pinks of the blossoms add a real freshness and contrast to the darker background. There is a sense of calm in this design that I love. The loose fluid drip of the background give the painting style its abstract nature but then the more textured heavier paint brush strokes featured in the flora give it structure and form.

Garden Song

This design reflects the rugged aspects of the Australian bushland. The contrasting sky blues and rusty soils and all the shades in-between.  A great assembly of wildflowers in a beautiful mix of muted pastels create a lightness against the darker background. It is a celebration of the great Australian landscape and all the contrasting shapes that create such variation in our wilderness. It feels positive and uplifting and helps bring the outdoors in! You really do feel immersed in the bushland.

Love Club

This is the freshest fun spring time design, it is inspired by the loose meadow like  floral arrangements that are transforming modern spaces. Super loose brush strokes in various acrylic paint weights, soft and watery in some areas thick and textured in others to create depth and layers. Its punchy and happy and for the sunniest of spaces.

Homestead

I painted this with the intention of creating a fun energetic pattern that feels like you are immersed in a meadow! It’s loose, free and fun in its painting style, textures of layered  pinks create the background and transparent white and yellows sit lightly over the top, etched lines in the petals add detail. The colours and scale of flowers give also a retro vibe to the design. It will create a happy space that is for sure! There is a distinct recollection I have in my first childhood bedroom of a super large floral wallpaper in pinks and oranges, it was the 70’s so it was not subtle. I feel as though this is conjuring up all the feels of that era, bold energetic and mood lifting!

Bees Knees

This is a nostalgic step back in time to the table cloth that may have been sitting in the kitchen in the mid to late 50’s. It conjures up vibes of happy times, summer picnics, and spring freshness! The painting style is loose and free, the flowers are simple daisy shapes which gives it the 50’s feel and the gingham check gives it the organised sense of repetition.
