Plastic Fantastic

Posted on February 17 2017

We love to play with different industrial materials, especially when it results in something we can wear. It's also fun to keep it fresh and think of new products that might appeal to everyone! January and February are usually times in the studio where we are able to have a deeper think about our design processes, and experiment with trying new materials. Introducing our brand new plastic fantastic mesh bags!

They are a Large clutch style featuring edgy neutral mesh topped with a specially selected piece of hand-painted Tiff artwork. The section of artwork is placed between two pieces of hard acrylic to protect it, and is secured using either gold or silver screw-studs. They have a PVC inner to add shape, and the artwork attachments come in either circle or asymmetrical triangle shapes. This style has structure, street and shine! The great thing about these is that the neutral and textured surface of the mesh provides a backdrop to feature the artwork. If you're a gal who likes your clutches streamlined and sturdy, these are for you. We took them out on the streets this week, and a select few are available now online and in store.

Materials in these clutches include strong mesh outer, PVC inner, shiny screw-studs, hand-painted canvas and acrylic perspex.
